Meet Sherrie
After writing website content for nearly 15 years, I decided it was time to create my own websites. In 2020, I took a training course with an international marketing company and have since designed websites for businesses, nonprofits, healthcare providers and consulting firms.
What I love about developing websites is it allows me to bring together my skills in writing, design and marketing to attract and engage readers. I also use search engine optimization strategies to increase website rankings so that organizations will be found online.
I'm a writer at heart, and have written for colleges, universities, schools, hospitals, nonprofits and businesses. My specialties are profiles of fascinating people, stories about science and technology, and website content for businesses and nonprofits. I began my career as a newspaper reporter and worked for the Democrat and Chronicle in Rochester for 12 years.
I have a bachelor's in American history and literature from the University of Chicago and a master's degree in English from the State University of New York at Brockport.
I live in Ithaca, New York, and am certified as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise by New York State. I enjoy playing flute in the Ithaca Community Orchestra and serving on the boards of the Ithaca Rotary Club, the Ithaca Community Orchestra and the Ithaca Area United Jewish Community. I'm also a member of Business Networking International and the American Society of Journalists and Authors.
If you need an experienced web designer or writer for your next project, please don't hesitate to contact me to set up a meeting.
