A seasoned writer

As a newspaper reporter for 16 years, I wrote about everything from dairy farming to urban poverty.

After covering City Hall at the Democrat and Chronicle in Rochester, New York, I earned a master's degree in English and taught writing at the college level. But I missed writing on a daily basis. In 2007, I launched Versatile Writing so I could create content for a variety of clients.

I have written for colleges, universities, schools, hospitals, nonprofits, small businesses and marketing agencies around the world. My specialties are website content, magazine articles, blog posts, newsletters, white papers and press releases. I also enjoy designing websites for businesses and nonprofits.

I have a master's degree from the State University of New York at Brockport and a bachelor's in American history and literature from the University of Chicago.

I live in Ithaca, New York, and am certified as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise by New York State. I enjoy playing flute in the Ithaca Community Orchestra and serving on the boards of the Ithaca Rotary Club, the Ithaca Community Orchestra and the Ithaca Area United Jewish Community. I'm also a member of Business Networking International and the American Society of Journalists and Authors.
